I’ve been playing this RPG on the PS3 for awhile now (R3) and the R1 version recently launched and is climbing the charts all the way to #1! Good job!

I’ve thus far clocked 99 hours on this game. The last time I clocked 100+ hrs on any single player game was Final Fantasy 10 on the PS2. Back then I was really into the mini-games in FFX, like the blitzball league and the collection of ultimate weapons. These modes took up a majority of the 100+ hrs I clocked in FFX.

With Demon’s Souls and my desire to get the Platinum Trophy for the game (getting there, 3 more to go), 99 hrs went by real fast.

It’s a fantastic game, but only if you’re prepared. If you intend to get this game, do your research first, because it’s not a game for everyone. This game is getting high scores in reviews but don’t let that fool you into thinking a high score equates to mass-market appeal.
