Fireworks @ Marina Bay
2007 August 19
Ok, last night demonstrated how much of a noob I am to photography. I forgot to set the size for video capture! So the vids I caught were SMALL… ARGH… well, still can see something but it’s small bleah…
Better than nothing I suppose… Click on the link to see the album! OH BTW, PLEASE onegai… when u watch the movies, please click on the upside-down triangle and select Original Size. If not the video will play very pixelated crap. Yes yes, I’m an idiot.
On the bright side, I enjoyed the sights and I learnt what Lomography meant.
yesterday i was shopping at zara marina when this gal asked me about the timing of the fireworks. I was like, omg, i didnt noe there is gonna be a fireworks display and she was like, oh ok, i am telling u there is gonna be one at esplanade mall later !!!!…but i dont know the time. LOL. luck had it when driving out of suntec’s carpark to get to CTE i was struck in the jam where i had full view of the exploding sky in front of me!!!! Speechless…that was a helluva jam manz! i actually managed to see till the end of it just that i didnt know whether did i catch the beginning…it was around 8 plus 9 when i left suntec. amazing.
Beautiful fireworks. Thanks for sharing. :)
We can only catch fireworks here on Bonfire Night and New Years Eve but this is mostly set off by residents themselves.
What is lomography?
lomography, a kind of photography, seemed total random coz u cant control anything. my very amateurish explanation. was enamoured with the russian lomo when i was studying and by the time i saved enough to buy the (i even forgotten the model) LCA (?), it was out of production. that bad…now holga is all the rage. try lomography.com
I think lomography is best explained by the 10 Rules of Lomography:
1. Take your LOMO everywhere you go and whenever you go.
2. Use it any time – day or night.
3. Lomography is not an interference in your life, but a part of it.
4. Shoot from the hip.
5. Approach the objects of your lomographic desire as close as possible.
6. Don’t think.
7. Be fast.
8. You don’t have to know beforehand what you’ve captured on film.
9. You don’t have to know afterwards, either.
10. Don’t worry about the rules.
